Effective Sep 28, 2026Covers webinars, consults, Powder Phone

What we collect when you sign up for a webinar, book a trip consult or join the Powder Phone, what we do with it, and how to get it changed or deleted.

01Who we are

This policy covers the websites, forms, emails and text messages run by Luke Stone ("Luke," "we," "us"), including the Japan Powder Outlook and other webinars, 1-on-1 trip consultations, and The Powder Phone text subscription. It applies whenever you give us information through one of those pages or programs.

02What we collect

What you give us

  • Contact details: your name, email address and mobile phone number.
  • Form answers: things you tell us so we can help you, such as whether you ski or snowboard, your ability level, where you ride, your travel dates, what you have booked and who you are traveling with.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email, text, direct message or in a consult.
  • Purchase details: what you bought and when. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

What we collect automatically

  • Usage data: pages you visit, links you click, whether you opened an email, and basic device and browser information.
  • Consent records: the date, time and page where you agreed to receive texts, so we can prove you opted in.
  • Recordings: trip consultations and webinars are recorded on Zoom so we can send you the replay.

03How we use it

  • To deliver what you signed up for: webinar access and replays, your consult and its recording, and Powder Phone texts.
  • To process payments, send receipts and manage subscriptions.
  • To prepare for your consult, using the intake answers you give us.
  • To send updates you asked for, such as reminders, snow forecasts and occasional offers. You can opt out anytime.
  • To answer your questions and give support.
  • To understand what's working and improve our content.
  • To follow the law, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

04Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and check the consent box, we'll text you about the program you joined. For The Powder Phone, that's about two texts per week plus account notices. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for help.

Your mobile number stays with us

We do not share or sell your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages, such as our texting platform and phone carriers, and only so they can send them.

05Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run things, and only as much as they need to do their job:

  • HighLevel (LeadConnector): our website, forms, calendar, CRM, email and text messaging platform.
  • Stripe: payment processing.
  • Zoom: webinars, consultations and recordings.
  • Email and messaging tools such as ActiveCampaign and ManyChat, used to send the emails and messages you signed up for.
  • Calendar services such as Google and iCloud calendars, used to schedule consults.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business. If that happens, this policy continues to apply to your information.

06Cookies and analytics

Our pages use cookies and similar tools to keep forms working, remember your choices and measure traffic. We may use advertising pixels, such as Meta's, to see which ads bring people to our pages. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some forms may not work without them.

07How long we keep it

We keep your information while you're a subscriber or customer, and for as long as we need it afterward for records, taxes, disputes and the law. Consult recordings are kept for about 12 months. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

08Your choices and rights

  • Texts: reply STOP to any message.
  • Emails: click unsubscribe at the bottom of any email.
  • Access, correction or deletion: email us and we'll see what we have, fix it or delete it. We may keep a small amount of information when the law requires it, such as purchase records and a note that you opted out.

Depending on where you live, including California, the EU, the UK and Canada, you may have extra rights: to know what we hold, to get a copy, to object to certain uses, or to complain to your local privacy regulator. Email us to use any of them. We won't treat you differently for doing so.

09Security

We use trusted providers with industry-standard protections, and we limit who can see your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects you and the law requires notice.

10Children

Our programs are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

11Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we'll let subscribers know by email or text.
